MANCHESTER, CT – Teenage skateboarder Timmy Weber still finds himself complying after numerous attempts to stop. Drawn to the art of the No Comply through the video influence of Bobby DeKeyzer and Kevin Terpening, “there is something about their refusal to comply that is so eloquent, so refreshing – the rush they must get every time their foot touches the ground must be intense,” explains Weber.
Sporting a fresh pair of high water pants, Weber set out to master the technique in the local Kohl’s parking lot. But after stepping on his board, he found himself still complicit. “All the pros make it seem really easy if you’re wearing high waters,” said a discouraged Weber.
Upon the suggestion of spending some time practicing the No Comply, Weber had other thoughts: “I am installing rails on my deck tonight and have Huf weed socks in the mail. Hopefully the combination of fashion and function will let the No Comply fall into my lap.”
